How to create 3D text - Blender 2.66 Tutorial

hello and welcome to another blender tutorial in this video i'm going to be
showing you how to make a similar text to what you see here i'm not going to be
getting into materials scenes lighting or anything like that. Just the text itself.
I'm going start by going into my 3d view and deleting the text I have created.
I'm going to add a new text by pressing shift a and selecting text.
Then I'm going to press R X and type in 9 0 to rotate it 90 degrees forward
Now to change the text from saying text. Select the text and press tab
and then you can enter your own input. I'm going to put "movie title".
Next we're going to change the look of the text. To do that go into your
text options by pressing on f here. You can change things like resolution.
If I zoom in here you can see there's kind of jagged edges
If you're doing high-resolution images you're going to need to increase that so
you don't get those horrible jagged edges as they will show up expecially
high resolutions like 4k (Ultra HD)
Next we're going to change the geometry i'm going to extrude this text to give it a 3d look.
I'm going to go point four. (0.4)
That should be enough for this example.
I'm going to make that is rather than just two faces meeting. I'm going to
give them some bevel. Point zero zero five ( 0.005) should be enough
and i'm going to make that bevel smooth rather than a flat surface. So i'm going
to give twelve for a resolution.
If you like to you can change the font for example the font I was using before was bebas
and you can change things like size, shear of the text, bold, italic. I'm not going
to use any of those for now.
and the last thing is paragraph i'm going to center it and i'm also going to
take the object and move it down so it's in the center of the camera and that's
really all there is to a different himself we can see we have pretty much
the same effect that i showed before
Thanks watching everyone. I hope you enjoyed the video and more importantly I hope
you learned something.
